Tutoring for Online Learners:
Is traveling to a campus impossible? Is it difficult to visit a Tutoring & Testing Center due to your personal or professional responsibilities? Distance and commitments should not be a factor when help is needed with your academics. Take advantage of HACC’s online tutoring service through Smarthinking. This unique resource is free accessible 24/7 and is available to any HACC student.
Testing for Online Learners:

Students can access Smarthinking directly from within Brightspace by D2L. Access to Smarthinking can be found under the Help for Students widget on the home page of Brightspace by D2L. Within the course it can appear in two ways based on preference when designing the NavBar or the My Resources dropdown menu section. You may also find it under the default menu items in order to insert in your course as well.
Instructors using MyMathLab have the opportunity to make a tutor available from within the LMS. Attached you will find instructions on turning this option on for your students and a quick start guide for student’s reference.
Smarthinking Faculty Demonstration Account
Create a Smarthinking account. This demo account will allow you to do everything a student would do in Smarthinking. For instructions contact Jazmin Simpson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Virtual testing forms are located within the myHACC documents area. Search virtual in the Documents search area. Review additional information about online student testing.

iTunes U is a special part of the iTunes Store that provides free course materials like readings, videos, texts, and practice exercises for all kinds of courses. HACC has a strong presence on iTunes U, and you can use some of the resources available there to expand and practice what you're learning in class or to explore new content.
