We all have other responsibilities that put demands on our time. Many of you have kids, partners, parents, and pets at home who need your attention. My house is about to undergo a summer-long renovation project to make it more accessible for my aging parents, and we've got a lovable but neurotic dog who barks at every door that opens or closes (whether it's the neighbor's car or a kitchen cabinet). So please know that I get it. Do not think that you need to apologize for interruptions or find a perfectly quiet and uninterrupted space or time to meet with me, because I know it may be impossible. If you need help, please contact me — it will save you time in the long run!
