There are two types of plagiarism, deliberate and accidental. Deliberate plagiarism happens when you rewrite from books or articles, you copy or paste from webpages and online sources to create "patchwork" writing, or you buy, download, or borrow a paper. Accidental plagiarism happens when you do not know when and how to cite, how to paraphrase or summarize, not understanding what "common knowledge" is, or ecycling an old paper.
