Linking Guide

Linking to Films On Demand Videos

The Library strongly recommends linking to Films on Demand videos. Linking is much easier to update and causes less problems in course shells and Guides.

To link a streaming video on Films on Demand:

Films on Demand is accessed via the Library databases. 

  • Locate the film
  • Click on the title in the list
  • Click on Share under video
  • Copy the URL – it should always start with : on Demand linking


There are some restrictions to the Swank Digital Campus license including:

  • The films must be used only for class/room use or as part of a class assignment. You can add links to films on D2L/BrightSpace. Attached are directions on how to link to films in D2L/BrightSpace.
  • The films are not to be used for public performance or personal use; either on or off campus by college or non-college affiliated groups, programs, workshops, etc.
  • Swank Digital Campus reserves the right to cancel the subscription in the case of abuse of the terms of the license.
