Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) studies is an emerging, rapidly-growing field of scholarship. The links in this guide offer an entry point to the most likely sources for LGBTQ+ studies research. However, as this is a highly interdisciplinary area of study, relevant materials can be found across numerous types of materials.
Designed in 2018 by nonbinary artist Daniel Quasar, the Progress Pride flag is based on the iconic 1978 rainbow flag. With stripes of black and brown to represent marginalized LGBTIQ+ people of color and the triad of blue, pink and white from the trans flag, the flag is meant to represent diversity and inclusion.
