Technology & Internet Access Loan

Providing our students with technology and reliable internet access to support their virtual and remote instruction is our priority. To support and sustain our mission, we continue to provide computers, calculators, internet access hotspots and other equipment available at no cost to students to help them achieve their educational goals.

Current HACC students may apply for the college's Technology and Internet Access Loan program (Tech Loan). To be eligible for a loan, students must:

  • Lack access to other technology or resources.
  • Be enrolled for the current semester.
  • Be enrolled in at least one (1) credit.
  • Be declared in a credit program leading to a diploma or associate degree.
  • Be able to schedule pickup and drop-off of technology at a HACC campus.

 OR

  • Have a critical need which merits exemption from the above criteria 

If you do not meet general eligibility, please contact support@hacc.edu and we will review your request individually.

Please Note:

  • TechLoan devices are issued on a per-semester basis. If you will need equipment for the next term, you must submit a new application once the next semester’s form opens
  • Students in workforce development (non-credit), KEYS, or GID programs should contact their coordinators for device loan information before applying.

  • Check your HAWKMail Account for a notification of your application status. 

Due to the limited number of devices, we cannot guarantee students will receive their requested technology. Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this time. We currently do not have any Apple equipment available for the Tech Loan Program.

Already have a loan?

For Fall Semester 2025 TechLoan devices, all items are expected to be returned to the User Support office in your campus Learning Commons/Library by December 16th, 2025.

If you are registered for Spring 2026 classes and need to extend your TechLoan equipment, please complete the TechLoan Application Form for the Spring semester when applications open on 12/1.

Please be aware that you may still be required to bring your equipment to campus for routine maintenance, even if your loan is extended.

To ensure a smooth return process, please refer to the specific return locations at each campus and the office hours for User Support. We kindly ask that you refrain from dropping off equipment in library book drops or outside our office, as proper handling is crucial to avoid damage or theft. Students are responsible for any damage or theft of TechLoan equipment that is not returned properly.

If you've already returned your TechLoan equipment, please inform us at your earliest convenience to prevent further reminders.

Save Your Data First: Students are encouraged to save any files they wish to keep to an external memory device (USB stick) or upload to their HACC Google Drive before returning their TechLoan PC.
