ENGL 101 - English Composition I - Keiter

What are you CURIOUS about?

"You see it all starts with a question. It doesn't matter what you ask, just that you ask, because the questions you find are more important than the answers."

Choosing a Topic Takes Research!

Sometimes you don't know what to ask or how to phrase what you want to ask, and that's ok. The library has has several databases to help you get some ideas about what you want to write about. While doing your background research, think about the following:

  • What words are used to talk about the topic?
    • Are some more formal than others?
    • Are some more specific than others?
  • What new information are you finding?
