SUGGESTIONS FOR SEARCHING THE WEB
- Use the "Advanced Google Search". This page allows you to search Google like a database.
- Limit web results to .org, .gov, or .edu by using the "site:" search (EX: lupus ana test site:.org. This search will only yield web pages that end in .org. The web pages will be about lupus and the ANA test.)
- Try finding the foundation or association website by using keywords, such as association and lupus. The web address will probably end in org.
- Search well-known hospitals such as the Mayo Clinic. (EX: lupus ana test site:www.mayo.org)
- In lab, notice company names on your lab testing materials. Who makes the blood tubes you use? They will have information on their website about lab tests.
