Truth

Truth can be defined as "A statement proven to be or accepted as true", In order to determine if something is true you need to question whether or not the information was discovered using accepted methods of validity, is being accurately represented, and is correct in what it states. In order to do this you need to validate the information by finding the original source and/or finding the same information from another source.

Chocolate Milk comes from Brown Cows?

FACT!

In 2015, The Washington Post reported that the Innovation Center of U.S. Dairy did a "nationally representative online survey" and found that 7% of Americans believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows.

Wait a minute...

The next day NPR gave shared an interview where the president of the organization that conducted the survey provided some insight into the question asked and the options that were given. People were asked if chocolate milk came from brown cows, black-and-white cows, or a choice to say they didn't know.

Nope.

Skeptical readers questioned the data and looked deeper into the collection methods and data. Two weeks later LiveScience shared the inability for the information to be scientifically validated and pointed out the problem with the information being misrepresented by media and unquestioned by consumers.
