Harrisburg Area Community College hosted it first graduation ceremony in 1966.
From 1964 to 1967, HACC operated out of the former Harrisburg Academy on Second Street in Harrisburg, PA. This collection includes photos from student life during this time.

In 1963, The PA General Assembly passed The Community College Act of 1963. In 1964, a group of local school officials and board members met to create an application to the state for Pennsylvania's first community college.
