Anatomy Study Resources

Our Learning Commons provides resources to support students in Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology courses. Please note: some items vary by campus.

Gettysburg

Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm

Learning Commons Gettysburg has a medical model room containing muscular and skeletal models, microscopes with numerous slides, books, and whiteboards.

Harrisburg

Monday-Thursday 7:30am-7:00pm

Friday 7:30am-3:00pm

McCormick Library, Second Floor Harrisburg's biology study area contains muscular and skeletal models, microscopes with numerous slides, books, and a touchscreen computer loaded with the Visible Body anatomy software.

Lancaster

Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm

Main, Room 232

Lancaster has four model rooms containing muscular and skeletal models, microscopes with numerous slides, books, whiteboards, televisions with an HDMI hook-up and Apple TV. Coming soon a large touchscreen computer with the Visible Body anatomy software.

Lebanon

Lebanon has a selection of muscular models, bones, and books.

The Bone Room contains muscular and skeletal models, microscopes with numerous slides, books, a whiteboard, and a television with an HDMI hook-up and Apple TV.

To use this space, please ask a tutor or staff member for assistance.

1. Go to: https://atlas-visiblebody-com.hacc.idm.oclc.org/

2. Login should pop-up - enter your myHACC information 

3. After logging in, click "Mobile Apps"

4. Select On Campus instructions and click the link for device. In your app store, click the link to download the Visible Body app. 

OR

5. Select Off Campus click on the image of the app. Enter your HACC email. You will be emailed a verification code, follow the directions to get your login and password for the app. 

6. You may also use the desktop version by clicking "Launch Human Anatomy Atlas"

TEAS Exam Study Group

What is the TEAS study group?

  • This group is for HACC students who want to prepare and practice for the TEAS exam.
  • The group will be facilitated by a HACC tutor.
  • You do not need an appointment to join the study group!

When does the TEAS study group meet?

Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 8:30pm beginning January 19, 2022.

English Language Conversation Group

Practice speaking English with your classmates in a fun, friendly environment. The group is lead by Rick Kearns, HACC Faculty and English and ESL Tutor.

Quizlet

Quizlet offers great study resources including flashcards and study guides. You can create your own study sets (you can upload your notes) or search for sets you may find helpful.

Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom.

The 2020-2021 ATI TEAS Study Manual was written by the creator of the exam. You can get a print or ebook version of the manual. It is aligned to the actual TEAS test. Integrated exam Resources include a new full-length, comprehensive practice test with rationales for right and wrong answers. The current price for the study manual is $25.00.
